Marr College Hockey has been running for over 70 since and has not stopped since.

We currently put out eight teams every Saturday. This usually involves upwards of 100 girls. Our season runs from August to the middle of March. The majority of teams that we play against are in the Private sector. We travel each season to far flung places such as Dundee, Edinburgh, Hamilton, Dollar, Glasgow.

Every team trains twice a week. All year groups spend a session on astro-turf at Ayr or Saltcoats and one session on the grass at Marr. We need to travel for astro training because we currently have no astro-turf at the school. We hope this will be rectified soon with an astro for hockey to be part of the plans for the new school.

Training sessions at Marr on a Thursday we have around 150 girls participating.

We have a long and proud tradition of hockey at Marr. We have won the Scottish Schools Hockey Championship on six occasions, the last in 2000 on astro-turf!!

We have had hundreds of girls over the years that have represented Ayrshire Schools, South-West District and Scotland.
