The club was formed in January 2007 following work with Active Schools in the Marr cluster. 

It started out with two groups; Primary 2/3 and Primary 6/7.  The current age categories range from P1 to S4 with around 50 children participating. 

There are three age categories on a Friday night from P1 to S1 at Muirhead Activity Centre which has been our home since the beginning.  The remaining age groups train at Marr College. 

Our plan is to build a club from Primary 1 age to senior over the next few years.  This will mean use of additional venues throughout Troon and we aim to have over 100 members once we have completed the expansion. 

The teams compete in Scottish Handball Association competitions from around P3 age.  The youth competitions go all the way up to U18.  In future we will look to compete in all of the age groups and senior leagues.
